I've recently sold my beginner steel and one of my basses and am now looking for a quality instrument which will last me for many years to come.

As per the title, I'm looking for an S10 E9 with at least 3+4. Ideally an Emmons setup, but if you have an instrument which can be altered to that setup that that'll be fine.

It has to be an S10, as I don't have room for a SD10 or D10.

The budget is around GBP £1000 and if you're outside the UK, then please bear in mind that that budget will have to include shipping and import taxes.

If you think you have something suitable, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

You should be able to get a new Stage One shipped to you for that money .

Bit undecided about the Stage Ones. Heard both good and bad things about them!

Mark this may be above your budget at $1995.00 USD, but I wanted to run it past you.
I just completed this Pro Lite a few days ago.

Hi Fred,

I've seen details of your beautiful instruments on here and the fantastic feedback about both the steel and service you provide.

Unfortunately, it's way too expensive for me!

Even though the purchase price is around £1300, shipping adds around another £150 and then there's around 24% tax on the whole lot (yup, including shipping cost!).

There is a way for companies importing into the UK to calculate a price which is classed as DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). This price would include any taxes as well as the shipping price, but I've never come across a company that actually does this though! Usually, the buyer pays for the product + shipping and then gets another bill after the goods arrive in the UK. This bill has to be paid before the goods are released for final delivery.

By the way, if you do send anything large to the UK try not to use USPS. Even though they may be the cheapest option, the goods will be handled by the Royal Mail here in the UK. They not only level an additional charge for handling (which can be another £30 or so) but they are slow and a nightmare to deal with!
