I just picked up a nice Nashville 400 with a 15" JBL speaker,If you play thru one I would like to know what settings you like. I'm just looking for a good starting point.Thanks.

My general/starting point when I had a Nashville 400 was Low +9, Mid -3 and 800Hz, High and Presence 0.

This is with a later model Nashville 400 with the factory tone mod.

Bass 3 o'clock,
lower the mid slightly at 8
higs 7 prescence 12-1 o'clock
I was using a P/P
You might want to use a "jumper" cable on the pre in/out on the back. That won't effect your sound but eliminates some crackling noise that sometimes acts up on that amp.
Great amp ! Good luck !

how about:
pre 2
post 2.5
low 3
mid -6
shift 800
high 0
pres -8
reverb 5

then you can adjust for the room, your ears, the neighbours, the noise in the background etc.

whenever I find the "perfect" setting on an amp, I inevitably come back later and think, "what happened to that great sound?"

I have found that the steel guitar and amp sound the best under oppressive conditions. Temperature of 101F with a dewpoint in the upper 80s and it just sounds super sweet.
