I don't know what your budget is for this tuner, but I highly recommend the Peterson "Strobo Flip" if you can afford it. I has "tempered" or "sweetened" tunings, especially for steel guitar in it.
It's s long complicated thing to explain, but it is a known fact, that instruments that cover several octaves, and that are tuned into chords, sound sour if tuned with mathematically correct intervals between the notes. This tuner allows you to select pre-sets for some of the major tunings, that result in sweet sounding chords.
it also comes with a great mounting device, that clips onto the leg of your steel, and allows you to plug through the tuner into your amp, so you are ready to tune at a moments notice.
