| There is a new Opry starting in Denton, Texas on April 2,2005. The man in charge is needing a steel player to play the Opry on a weekly basis. The Opry will be on Saturday nights and all musicians will be paid. Denton, Texas is 30 minutes north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex on I35. The Opry will consist of country and gospel music and the band will play roughly 20 songs per show. The man to contact is Jay Parr at 940-380-0608 or his cell phone at 940-231-1145. Jay has received a couple of calls but no one has stepped forward to claim this gig. Anyone interested please call Jay. He is a super guy and it sounds like it will be a great show to play. Denton is a community of roughly 60,000 people with two college universities. Too many irons in the fire for me to play and I usually stay with gospel music. |
