Not often we hear such nice DOBRO playing like that! It's
surprising to hear those nice chords coming out of a simple G tuning. I liked your harmonics at the end and picked up on your key change from G to A...very nice. Also, that wild string stretch didn't go unnoticed ! Excellent Eric. |

Thanks guys for your kind remarks, it's awesome to be noticed here. I try to make a new one each year, we'll see if I can finish up "Sleigh Ride" in time for Christmas! Happy Holidays....Greg Booth _________________ Greg

Greg,
You always amaze me with your aproach to the Dobro. In my opinion you are one of the best Dobro players out there..... and a modest guy, two excellent qualities.

I'll second Todd's accolade, Greg. I have your "Wichitaw Lineman" off Youtube and it has really inspired me to get back to my reso and try that low E-string on the standard G-tuning. Very fine playing (on both the Scheerhorn and the D12 MSA)! _________________ The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being. |

A 40+ year old Christmas LP comes to mind that has some great steel work by the fabulous JULES AH SEE. The group was the well known SURFERS. They sang close modern harmony and Jules was absolutely awesome ! You might be lucky to find a copy at a local flea market. |
