When you start with an 8-string guitar, a good way to teach your brain the location of the extra strings is to play songs that are heavy on those strings, in this tuning the 7th and 8th.

Hi Steve,

Great job on that song. The tune sounds very familiar. By any chance is it also known as Saint Anne's Reel?

Thanks Ron. It's very easy to play, mostly open strings, and I still missed a few notes.

Grieve's Handy goes on for another couple of minutes on the Bok album with two or three variations, then it's followed by Hawkin's Handy. All great playing. I don't know the origin of it.
