Is it a red flag to find an Emmons without serial numbers? LeGrande SKH?

I had an SKH w/o a serial number one time. It didn't bother the guitar any, though Ron Jr. wasn't all that happy upon hearing about it. He felt it probably went through someone's hands who changed out the endplates, but why... that we don't know.

Thanks, Herb. I also had a long talk with Nick Reed this morning who gave me some good input. I guess some of the early ones, like this one, LeGrande, may have been the early prototypes.

On some of the Emmons SKH the the S/N was not on
the end plate. Look very close on your left knee lever
mounting blocks. On some the S/N is stamped on one
of the blocks, in small type and is not easy to see.
