......After playing guitar 50 years in a variety of genre, I'm looking to order a Melbert 8 LS and don't know what is the best PU choice to sound good with our band playing a Country/Rock/Pop blend with a mid-range sound supplementing our vocalist who writes good original songs. I currently am the Rhythm/Lead player and the lead guitar (progressive rock lead style) uses a GIbson SG, while I play a HAYWIRE 'Tele with early 60's sound Wilkinson PUs.
......We need some occasional different instrument sound in some songs thruout our sets and the offered PUs are: Jerry Wallace True Tone, Lawrence Humbucker and the George L E-66 Model.
......Any reasons WHY you prefer one of these PUs in a Lap Steel over the other options available? I would be thankful for opinions!
......Great Forum Here!
......Thanks, Rockne
