A good friend of mine, Hank Harrison is a historian for early country, bluegrass, and other related types of music. He has led a bluegrass band in San Antonio, for 40 years, and has a radio show called "Hillbilly hit parade". He has asked me to make the following post to see if any one out there may have info he can use.

Is anybody doing research on these 1930s Hawaiian performers;
The Three Jacks, Sells Floto Circus guitarist Jerry Racimo or The Three Musketeers?

If so, contact hankharrison@gmail.com

I hope this is not contrary to any rules of the forum.

Not contrary at all, but good luck finding any information. The Three Jacks' song "Spanish Shawl" was featured on the Arhoolie CD "Hawaiian Steel Guitar Classics 1927-1938". According to the liner notes, the only known member was guitarist Rodney Rogers.
I found no information on Jerry Racimo, but I did find this page on the Sells-Floto Circus.
I could find no information on a Hawaiian group called the Three Musketeers.

Perhaps Bob Brozman would have some information.

I have some bio info on Rodney Rogers and have been in touch with his granddaughter in Los Angeles, though she knew nothing about his life as a musician. I'll share what I know with anyone who's interested.

The picture came from a 1930s book of sheet music[/img]
