Hello, I'm a new member, and I was wondering if there was a way to search on the forum for specific things (ie tab for a particular tune, members selling a particular item, etc.) Thanks. |

Yes, indeed. If you look up in the top-right portion of the web page, you'll see a link that says "Search."
You can also just go to Google and do a search there. To restrict it to just search for things on this forum, you add this to the list of words you're searching on:
site:steelguitarforum.com
I don't think it works correctly if there is a space anywhere in that string, so no spaces after that colon.
I'm sure you know that in Google, you'll probably find what you're looking for faster if you put phrases in double-quotes. (Note: this works in Google, but there is a different method if using the forum's own search forum. There, you would click 'search for all terms' button).
For example, searching in Google on "pick blocking" will get only pages that have those two words together, and in that order.
Whereas typing: pick blocking (without the double-quotes) will give you all of the above plus every page on the web that has the word 'pick'... and the word 'blocking' somewhere else on the page, which is way more than you want. |
