I am thinking of getting back into playing fiddle again and was wondering if anyone had some links to reputable violin sellers? Thanks; Allen _________________ msa d10 classic

Close to you (depending what side of PA you're on,) for fine violins, prinicpally or exclusively-American-made, David Bromberg (yes, that David Bromberg) has a shop somewhere in Delaware. He's had stories about his emergence as an American violin expert featured on NPR and in Fretboard Journal...probably several other places as well, so there's probably info to be Googled.
Byron Berline (yes, that Byron Berline) has the Double Stop Fiddle Shop in Guthrie, OK. _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |

To echo Ben, you DEFINITELY want to find and talk to David Bromberg about getting a violin. The guy is SO knowledgeable about musical instruments and music. Its worth the drive...no matter how far. |

Alan,
I was at Davids' shop the other day... prices start about at about $1000 ..
I am looking for one for my daughter .. but she's a beginner so a $1000 fiddle is not for her.
He is at the corner of 6th and Market Wilmington DE.

Thanks for all the replies, I did one of those mail order trials on 2 different violins and found a very nice one that i kept. Not sure if i can mention the dealer if it's allowed by forum rules, but anyway i got a good outfit for a very reasonable price without leaving the house. thanks again for the help! _________________ msa d10 classic
