This one is a bit of an odd ball, but its the guitar I learned on and played for 5 years. I believe it to be a late 60s or early 70s steel based on the info I got from Reese Anderson. I've also since added the 4th knee lever (RKR). Here is a link with pictures to a thread I posted a while back:

Feel free to email me questions. I'd also trade for the right S-8/D-8 lap or console with legs.

Hey Rick, would you happen to have any audio or video of this particular steel? No worries if not, just checking, want to get a sense of the basic sound. Thanks!

Really nice picking and great tune, Rick. The steel sounded great to me.

Thanks Duncan.

I'm playing through a Roland Cube on that track. The steel has a pretty neutral clean tone, maybe a bit on the "woody" side. It can really vary depending on your amp.

This steel plays perfectly well as is or could be a cool restoration piece.

Show me your old weird 8 strings steels that have been kicking around. Trades and partial trades are welcome.

Hurry up and buy this before I change my mind! There's a spot already to install a second pickup further up the neck and two spots to install switches or knobs of your choice on the curb closest you. There's also a spot for a second quarter inch jack on the endplate. This could also be converted to an 8 pedal guitar fairly easily... This could be a really cool custom rig for cheap.
