Gerald Hampton Handy, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 12:21pm. His wife of 57 years, Joan, and all of his children, his dogs and several friends and neighbors were with him when he passed. He died peacefully and he died at home, which was his last request.
Mr. Handy played music in Va. for many years, and his 2 sons Tim and Kevin are still playing to this day, carrying on his legacy, and they are known as the "Southern Winds" band.

Hi Jerry,
He played around the Fredericksburg area back in his day. I know he was a great musician, as are his two sons, Tim and Kevin who are the Southern Winds band. You can see his sons on youtube.
Thanks for asking, and sorry for the delay in replying.
Pat
