As the author of Maurice 'Reece' Anderson's biography, "Man of Steel," I'm offering (as long as they last) a Special Christmas price to Forum members. Instead of the regular price of $23.95, S&H included, the 206 page book with a 26 cut CD of Reece playing is offered for a total of $18.95, S&H included, in the lower 48. PayPal or personal check is accepted, or, contact me at oldabe61@yahoo.com. Happy holidays, Fred

That's a great deal Fred. If someone wants a definite collection of some of Maurice's greatest recordings on CD, AND get his biography at the same time, then this is an unmissable deal.

Thanks Ken for your kind words. By the way, it was not my intension to leave out my friends across the pond, but as you know the mail costs are so darn expensive. However, the deal is same for them if they are willing to go for the extra mail charges. Fred

This is a great read folks. Have recently just finished it and by the end it seemed Reece and I were old pals. Thats the insight you get from this book. The recordings are a real bonus!!
Fred has done a great job in revealing the story behind the man, his wife and the steel.
Seasons greetings to all

Jeff

Not only is Maurice a great player, but he does a fantastic impression of having a gun in his overcoat pocket. Just read the book to make sense of that one. Laughing

The CD alone is worth the offering price....it's fantastic. The book is very well written going into the life of a great picker & inovator of pedal steel design. Don't let this one pass you by. Get your copy while they are still available. And yes, this book would make a great gift for your favoite steeler. Very Happy
