I use a CD player to do simple home recording with backing tracks with an interface. My question is, can an MP3 player do the same thing as the CD player with tracks loaded off computer? Also I'm thinking that one song can be setup to repeat for practice, and/or play along with an original song to learn it.
Thanks...Bill _________________ Bill Ford S12 CLR, S12 Lamar keyless, Misc amps&toys Sharp Covers

Thanks Jason,
That's what I was thinking, just wanted to be sure. I'm running to aux in on the amp from the Cd player headphone jack, so I am thinking it will be the same with the MP3 player. I have a different setup that has a usb out on this amp direct to my computer. I was using a Behringer interface that worked very well(for what I am doing). This setup has a mixer program on my computer, probably have to get #1 Son to come by, and set it up for me.

Got it working..Same as CD player, headphone out to aux in, it will repeat track for practice...cool. better than CD player, you can repeat track without having to do anything.
