Toby Keith ,,, artist of the decade my ass.
Red Solo Cup , what a insult. Toby has not taken a drink on stage in the last 10 years.

On one song (already forgot the artist), back in the dark there was a steel player, but not heard. During the song he was running his hand through his hair...(bored?)

Crowd shots were primarily screaming teen/early 20's females.

Rodeo time!

Wow, that one came in under the radar...

It's comedy, folks, so therefore...NOT!

A couple of things that were (somewhat) funny:

Songs with a steel on stage: "We don't need no stinking steel in soundtrack". And, songs where I could hear a steel: "No one will care there is no stinking steel on stage. Most viewers are oblivious to what's going on." Hah-hah.

Traces' live vocal on opening song - I vote for lip-sync...

I watched the show and did not care for the Trace Adkins opener with all the gals running around in the Daisy Duke outfits (well that really wasnt that bad) but I did like this one act which had a pretty blonde singer with fancy white dress and mandolin player and she could sing pretty darn good sorta like a blonde Martina McBride, yes her voice was that good, does anyone know who she is?

Thanks guys for the info on that band, they were very good and that gal has got the looks and chops to be a major contender in the current Nashville grind, yes I will look to buy a Cd, dunno if they had any steel in that band but that song they played really caught my attention and I assume it was 'Live' which is not easy to sound that good "Live' but one never knows especially in Vegas..

The Band Perry is Kimberly Perry and her brothers Neil and Reid Perry. Kimberly is the lead singer. They are an amazing group! Their second single "You Lie" featured some great steel. Kimberly plays guitar and piano, in addition to singin'. Her brother Neil plays mandolin and Reid plays bass guitar. I love their music!

evidently this acm show is a teeny bopper voted affair, obviously. no one probably even noticed alison krauss was up for a major award.

toby keith...what a joke....why'd he have a career in the first place?...cause hank jr. was to f****d up to make it somewhere back down the line?

It's sad to see you cry babies so hurt about who's got it and who don't.I don't see anybody crying over you George Crickmore or Chris Ivey for your talent. The moisture of true Country Music is still alive,if you guys would just help by doing your part by not insulting others. I didn't see that show (sounds like a good thing I didn't), but I have to agree on The Band Perry. They have to be my fave new country act. Just great. If they should break up, Kimberly will have no problem on her own, but they are a great band for sure.

I recorded the show, we started watching it for a few minutes then lost interest.

The one that was on a few weeks ago, the CMA Awards show, I was able to fast forward through the stuff I knew I wouldn't like, and made sure to catch The Band Perry. A couple days later I went out and bought their CD.

They seem to be the real deal.

Watching these types of shows without the benefit of a DVR is not something I think I could withstand from start to finish, and when you factor in the commercials, the situation could become dire.

Yeah I guess your right... Toby Keith is true country music.
If he is true country music where do I find false country music.

All due credit but until I heard different, I thought the band Perry's first big hit If I Die Young was Taylor Swift for a long time.

But the ACA's, well same as all the other award shows...only representative of the industry over the past year basically. Shouldn't be any surprises there. Good or bad..just sayin'. Oh Well oh yeah, forgot about that artist of the decade award George Embarassed
