My wife and I had a great time in Dallas this past weekend. We renewed old friendships and made some new friends. We also heard the best music in the world.

We got to see some old friends:

John and Jean Hughey, two of the nicest people in the world.

Junior Knight, one of my wife's favorites and an all around good guy.

Bruce Zumsteg, the builder of the finest steel guitar made, IMHO.

Dewitt Scott, a great ambassador of the steel guitar and Mr. Nice Guy.

It was good to meet fellow forum members and put faces and names together.

Wayne Franco, it was great to meet you, hope to see you again soon. Also, my wife thought you were such a gentleman.

Larry Petree, It was really good to meet and talk to you. It brought back a lot of memories talking about some of the great honky tonks of Bakersfield's yesteryears. Next time remind me to tell you the story about Hank, Jr. at the Mesa Marin Raceway in 1990.

Joey Ace, it was nice to meet you. Wish we had more time to visit with each other.

Howard R., it was pleasure to finally meet you and to give you the "forum handshake"

Smiley Roberts, I had a blast!! (Of course we dare not let the women know!!) I look forward to seeing you when I can get to Nashville, even though Donna said you were bad company. (Little does she know, I'm the mayor of Pervertsville.)

Donna Dodd, you are absolutely wonderful!! My wife and I thank you and Tommy from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness and friendship that you gave us.

Russ and Laney Hicks, two of the nicest people. It was so nice to meet and talk to both of you. We look forward to seeing you again.

Mike Brown, after all the rookie questions and phone calls of the past it was good to finally meet you face to face. Thanks for all your patience and help with my amps.

Anybody that I left out I apologize, it's not intentional. I guess that I've rambled on long enough but it was such a wonderful weekend and so much fun. Thank you TSGA and everyone that we got to visit with for making it so enjoyable.

John introduced himself to me, qualifying his identity as John Parker, "The guy whose post was deleted from the Humor section recently." (Maybe I need to speak with my grown boys about my credibility as a moderator if the offender seems proud to identify himself!!)

You and Linda are a super couple. We had a lot of fun with you guys!!!!
