If you didn't hear Johnny Cox play the E13 Super Slide on his set Saturday afternoon, you missed a real treat. Just an awesome tone played by a master.

Sunday I wandered into the MSA room to visit with friends. Jerry and Kyle showed me their new lap steel. When they plugged it into an amp for me I couldn't believe what I heard. This is the best sounding and playing lap steel I've ever played. I'll go out on the limb and say it's probably the best that's ever been made! I've never heard such sustain on any guitar, pedal or non. Tone is somewhere between a pedal guitar and a Rickenbacher.
I believe this is going to be a huge success for the MSA company. The exposure will reach much farther than the pedal steel community. |

Bill, you are right He did a great job as sounded great on the new MSA superslide.
Randy I think you are right. The tone on the MSA Superslide was second to none, and I'm talking about Pedal or non pedal. It has to be the best sounding steel guitar I have ever heard. I don't know where you were, but I didn't see or hear anything about Reese or Johnny and "THONGS."  
But the guitars really sounded great.....

| I played the new MSA lap steel on one tune on my set on Sunday morning and it had a fine tone. That "extra" piece you see on the guitar is a metal brace that folds out and molds around your body as a brace when you are standing and playing the guitar. A nice idea. It should be a good seller for MSA. Scotty |
