Just watched the PBS special (during fundraising (sigh)) "Listen To Me", the Buddy Holly tribute show. Earnest Bovine a/k/a Doug Livingston was heard a lot on PSG throughout. Fine work. Nice gig! |

I haven't seen the show, but what was pedal steel doing on a Buddy Holly tribute? I don't get the connection, but I'm sure somebody here will explain it to me. |

I don't know what it was doing in a Buddy Holly tribute but whatever it was, it fit and it fit well...The guy did a great job and it sounded like it should've been there all along..... Nice update(s) of some old tunes..........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

I can't identify EB by face--his Forum avatar isn't much help!--but the ending credits list "Doug Livingston: pedal steel, mandolin, guitars." |
