We are playing with Bob Seger Tuesday in Birmingham and Thursday in Louisville. We have a day off in Nashville. We usually hit Robert's, but I thought this time I'd see if any of my fellow forumites were picking anywhere in town. So, anything happening in Nashville Wednesday night?

Legends, 6 - 10pm, Mike Siler and the Short Notice Band, Rusty Danmyer on steel. Good country group. I'm playing 10 -2 at the Music City Bar and Grill. That is behind the Nashville Place on Music Valley Drive. We do old country. PG (Pre Garth) Randy Mason/ drums, Rick Wright on guitar Billy Johnson on Bass and Keith Nixon on Vocal and me on steel. Good food and free parking also.

I love the way the song intro was delayed for the synchronized slugs of beer. Man, that could not have been timed any better...!!!

Just kidding with ya....enjoyed the video...!! Very Happy

Mike, thanks for the heads up. We ended up barhopping, didn't hear a lot of steel though. Did get to watch Chief down at legends earlier in the night.

Todd, we recorded a show in Flint a couple nights ago and are recording again on New Years Eve in Detroit. So the live record should be out at the first of the year. I'm currently playing a great, metal neck mid-70's Sho-Bud straight into a 90's Fender Vibrosonic Custom. Same setup as I had in that video you mentioned.

Joe, haha, it's not so much a "delay" as it is an expected part of our show. Laughing

Gotta say, Brett, I've never seen one like that. And I've seen alot of old ShoBuds. It's gotta be a pro III, 'cause the aluminum necks. Unless it's been refinished, it's a one of a kind, for sure Cool Cool Very Nice 'Bud!!! Hell, even if it has been refinished, still one of a kind. Nice!

Am I correct in thinking, this live album is the first record that you're playing on with Whitey Morgan & the 78's?

I'm hoping that "Arms of fool" is on there, man! Some ole Mel Tillis!! Yeeahhh! Cool

Yessir, this will be my first record with Whitey. My first record ever actually, I've only been playing for three years, so this is my first chance at recording, with the exception of Television and radio appearances.

As for my guitar, I assume it's been refinished. It needs some work(new fingers, etc.) but that requires money haha. The tone I'm getting is my favorite. I think it's the metal necks, but it sounds much better to my ears than my previous, wooden neck, pro-I.

One of these days I'm gonna go pay Bobbe Seymour's electricIty bill and get me a nicer 'Bud.

Man , that is so cool. Looks like you landed you a pretty good gig fast. I've only been playing about 3 years myself. Getting ready to do my first recording sessions next week. This is the first band I've been in, and we've been together since March 2011. Nervous as hell! Evil Twisted

I play a'73 rack & barrel Professional 'Bud through a '76 Session 400. I must say your ShoBud sounds awfully sweet through that Vibrosonic! Here's a link to a recent, open thread I started about questions for my first studio endeavor!
