I saw Lyle and his big band last night, and of course the fantastic, Buck Reid playing his JCH. The steel was up in the mix and Buck and his guitar got a lot of face time. Unfortunately it was only thirty minutes that I got to enjoy; man I could have watched all evening. IMO, Buck Reid is just a fantastic musician and his steel just completely makes it all work. Looking good Buck!

Hi Charlie - sorry I missed it. I'll have to look that show up. Still enjoying your old Emmons p/p - let me know if you ever want to pay her a visit.
Hope you're doing well..

Hello Dave, I wondered if you were still around, and thanks for the offer. We moved a little further north. We're a little old for the stairs so now we have an elevator and a garage. Not too long after I sold you the guitar, I got the itch to pick again so I bought an Emmons all pull from Ron Jr at Emmons, then a GFI S-10 from Billy Cooper and get this, I acquired another push pull from a great guy from up north that Buddy Emmons used to own and it just sounds beautiful. Unfortunately I haven't been doing much since the discovery of prostate cancer a couple of years ago but I'll make it. Thanks for saying hello!

Thank you Charles for the kind words. We recorded that show about a year ago if memory serves me correctly and it was the last taping at Studio 6a. It was kind of cool to be there for it but a little sad at the same time as I have seen many of my heroes and great shows from that stage. All the best to you!

Thank you Buck. The last time I spoke to you was awhile back in Va when I didn't see your guitar on stage, so I went backstage to make sure your were there with the band. I was going to take off early. When I saw your guitar on camera, I remembered our friend Jimmy Crawford; IMO, one of the greatest psg players ever and just a wonderful person.

Buck,

Your memory does serve you correctly, that was the last show, I remember Lyle calling out to everyone to leave their posts and join you all on stage.

Memorable evening, great music, impeccable steel!
