The Msa Legend D-10 I have has a "quick change" system for the pickups. If I was going to try a new pickup, which kind would be the best to try? I am hoping someone with an MSA Legend could give me some insight into this. Then, I know it will be ultimately up to my ears to decide once I try out a couple different pickups on it. I might eventually just stick with the stock pickups. BTW, are those stock pickups just a MSA specific pickup?

You should try a Telonics 84 series, for your D-10.

They have a model already mounted for MSA. I have an 84AW in my Zum and it sounds great above the 12 fret. Kind like a Alumatone, but with more overtones. Very clean and bell tone like.

The low strings have a push-pull growl like tone. They take some time to set up and get just right. This pickup is a humbucker and has adjustable coils and "bucker" coils for each string. Different windings are available for E9 and C9, if you like.

Telonics also has a half blade, half coil pick-up that many people like. Kind of a cross between a 705 and a 710. I haven't tried one, yet.

I use a Tone Aligner in my Millennium.

I have tried everything except the Telonics and I prefer the Alumatone in my Legend. Any pickup you try will have to be mounted by MSA to fit their quik change.
