His loss in almost impossible to relate without film of his entire life, his experiences and humor could fill volumes.

I had the honor of interviewing Bill for the Fretboard Journal a few years ago. He was like a musical Zelig. He interacted with many of the greatest musicians of the 20th century and across at least three genres of music. A life well lived. RIP, Bill.
