The album in question is called "Hawaiian Favorites". The album is split between Akoni and His Islanders on side one and Danny K Stewart and his Aloha Boys on Side two. Does anyone know if it is David Keli'i playing steel on side one. Sure is great playing. I think the album is from around 1955-57. Tops L1517 |

Aloha Norm,
Yes, half of the album is David Keli'i and the other half of the songs are Danny Stewart. |

Mahalo Derrick. Good to hear from you. Hope you have been well. Do you happen to know the other people on the "Akoni" side of the LP? |

I don't have the album anymore. I gave all my vinyls to Timi except for a selected rare few. I don't recall any credits listed on the album except for Danny Stewart's name. Record producers during that time period were notorious for not listing and giving credit to musicians. The side with "Little Grass Shack" is David on steel. |

Funny, now we are starting to have the same problem, with digital downloads. Not enough information comes along with the music. |
