I am about to trade for a 3 pedal 4 knee Remington S-10.

How many Forumites play a Remington.

I used to play one. I think that it was made in the late 90's. It was a pretty good guitar. The string spacing was a tad wider than most. I actually liked that. The undercarriage was similar to a Fessenden as I recall. Herb told be the body was made from aircraft quality plywood.

A few years ago, Herb played with the reunited Texas Playboys, including some other original members and some new guys, at a club on a pier on the beach in the L.A. suburb of Santa Monica. The actual spot on the pier was different, but the place where Herb played with Bob Wills for the very first time was also on that same pier.

Of course, he played one of his own guitars. It sounded just fine.

Besides myself, there were quite a few of other steel players present who came just to hear and meet him. After he played, he showed us the guitar and let us examine the undercarriage.

It was a very good evening.

Is Herb still alive?
