Your best bet is to keep watching eBay. They occasionally come up for sale there. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

I don't know if they are compatible but I have a tuning pan from an early fender 400. |

That model is actually called a Custom (the double neck version was the Dual Professional).
That style of tuner pan is known as "lollipop tuner" which may help in searches.
No, it's not the same as any of the pedal steel tuning pams although the pans from the 400 and 1000 (i.e. the 8 string versions) are the same as all but the earliest Stringmasters.
The first version of the Stringmaster had lollipop tuners like the earlier steels, but the pan was slightly different, having a separate nut as opposed to the built in nut on the earlier version.
Good luck with fining what you need - those tuner pans are pretty rare but do come up from time to time.
If you find one with broken tuners, still grab it as it is possible to repair or fit different tuners into the pan if necessary (not easy, but possible). |

Kind of pricey, but here's one on eBay just to give you an idea.

Well, it may be ridiculously expensive, but it does look like hell. |
