Just doing a little work on my Emmons. If I'm not mistaken, the hex head screws at the back of the changer head means you can do a tunable split. Can someone tell me the procedure for doing this, or how to make it work? Thanks. |

Tune the split w/ the nylon tuner, then tune the full lower w/ the screw. |

If Your Emmons is a push/pull guitar then the hex screws are not for tuning the splits.

Must be a LeGrande model. I've never seen those hex screws at the back of the changer head (upper part where the string attaches and goes over the finger) on a Push/Pull. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . If it's a Legrand, the hex screw is for tuning the the lowest note on the pedal/ lever. The split note is tuned with the nylon tuning nut.
Bobby Bowan put a tunable split on my push pull, and as long as you keep it well lubricated it works like a charm. |

Tony,
You describe it well,
A push pull does not have nylon tuners.

I believe it is what they call a LeGrand II. I think it was built in the 80's. It is not a push pull. |
