Melbert Pro 8 lap steel on order...can't wait

I have my order in on am 8-string Melbert Pro 8 made of cypress and a Lawrence 705 pickup.

I knew for certain I wanted an 8-str, and I have always heard good things about the Lawrence 705 pickups (new and old) from the other Cajun pedal steel players down here so I went with those. It will be played on a vintage Traynor YCV40 (40w tube amp).

I have a Melbert 6 string and could not be happier. So I know how waiting to get your hands on them is the pits, but well worth the wait.
