Howdy Folks
On Nov 15 (give or take a day or so), I am stepping back from the day to day operations here at Beard Guitars/Resophonic Outfitters. I'm not going away as I'll continue to work for Paul by representing Beard Guitars at a number of music festivals and trade shows. Hope to do TX Steel
I approached Paul about this change a year ago and expressed my desire to...well, get out and play more music, meet folks and do some traveling. I figure I've got some "gigging years" left in me . I want to do it while I still have the inclination and the energy. (I'm older then you think)
I am still happy to answer product related questions of course. I'll not be able to provide timely information on sales, build schedules and/or
delivery times. Those questions are best directed by emailing parts@beardguitars.com or calling the shop.
cheers,

Howard,......I hope that you have the best of both worlds playing music, traveling, and being a part of Beard Guitars......it's always been nothing less than a pleasure dealing & interacting with you.....and I hope that we cross paths again in Dallas or any other place...... |

I always appreciated the personal/excellent service the both of you gave me. Keep us up to date on your adventures.

Rumours have circulated for some time that Howard was given several years to come up with a thick luxuriant beard but could only muster a small, but dashing, moustache. Unconfirmed and possibly unrelated to this new announcement. |

Thanks everyone,
You can track my comings and goings on the evil Facebook w/music on MySpace, YouTube and Reverbnation.
I know I'll be taking a more active part in IBMA (Int'l Bluegrass Music Assoc) and take on additional responsibilities at the big DE Valley Bluegrass Festival.
Many of my gigs are historically in the DC/NoVA markets. The rockabilly stuff is usually around western MD, So central PA and WV. My goal is is to have a steady gig for every guitar I own . I have some more irons in the fire. We'll just have to see where they lead.
I'm not totally disappearing from the company. Paul is considering exhibiting at some major west coast bluegrass festivals and I have high hopes I'll be returning to the TX Steel Guitar Jamboree in March, even if I have to go as a "private citizen". That would be cool.
The "Beard Guitar" persona will still crop up here from time to time.
cheers,
