Here is the info on the Super Reverb:
It's a 1966 (actually Dec 1965 as seen in later post) Fender Blackface Super Reverb. Looks like new, all original except for a newer grille and newer tubes.
Had 2 of the 4 original 10" Jensens reconed.
Looks great, sounds even better, average price on the net slightly over $2000, new reissues are priced 1499.99 at musician's friend (last time I looked). $1650 + Shipping takes this one away. Local pickups ok nearby MountainView California.

Sold to non forum member but will make a donation to the forum anyway.

Hi Chris,

Yea, I contemplated putting 1965/1966 on the description because it really is a transitioin month, but decided not to complicate the posting. However, since you brought it up...it's true and I could call it a 1965 for that reason and would be accurate.

Thx,

james

You're welcome James... and just to be a nitpicker, Pre CBS is BEFORE Jan '65...which is when Fender was sold to CBS...they used Fender Elec Instrument Co. faceplates about 5-6 months into '65 (to use up inventory)... after that the faceplates read Fender Musical Instruments,as yours does... sort of a moot point,as the circuits remained the same until sometime in mid '67.... Very Happy

Hi Chris,

Yes correct again and so noted. Like you say, this one qualifies for the intent of the statement since what matters about "pre-CBS" is the circuit and how it sounds and this ones got that in spades.

Best,

james
