If you enjoy upbeat Hawaiian Music with a country lilt.....be sure to visit JERRY's MUSIC PAGE on the www.JERRYBYRD-FANCLUB.com page.
The song is sung by Melveen Leed and it's really a swinger, IMHO.
You might care to give it a listen.........

Thanks Mitch, I have been there already, but there is only a song named Trembling.
Direct Link here:

Would that be the song Ray is referring to? _________________ 1977 Sho~Bud D10 ProIII Custom; Sho~Bud SD10 The Professional ; ETS S10 5x5;

My apologies for the confusion guys.......
I have to send my new song posts to my wonderful web master who then inserts them into the site in short order; merely hours or, a day or so later.
My brain says my job is done and so I routinely notify everyone I know immediately, so as not to forget.
Well, as you've seen here....the songs have yet to be posted and I sincerely appologize.
THANKS to the wonderful folks that have provided the necessary links and directions on how to apply them on the JBFC site. Thanx RON......and the rest of you guys. Some of us old folks just have a more difficult time than others. |

Thanks Mitch,
That is a big "Duh!" for me.
It would be nice if Ray would always post the name of the song he is referring to.
That will allow us to find it without a link. |

When the Jerry Byrd Fan Club was first conceived, it was decided that it would be an educational/informational web site and NOT...a simple music download site.
The thinking was that potential viewers would be directed to the site and while there, they would likely be roaming around, examining the considerable history that lies therein.
I had no idea that some would mistakenly believe that the JBFC was a download site. It's for that reason, the 'individual songs' were not LINKED.
We were hoping that you'd be interested enough to explore the site and thus come away with new knowledge about this great steel gutiarist. |

Hi Ray,
That is exactly what I ended up doing, what a great site, and good info, and at the bottom of the page was the song which is beautiful. Thanks so much for this site, there is a lot of history to read which will keep me busy for awhile.
Eric
P.S. I especially liked the comments about drummers ruining the dynamics of songs, I will be pointing that out to my drummer this weekend! |

Hi Ray,
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply those were your comments, I need to be more careful about what is said in a public forum. But when a great player like Mr. Byrd makes those comments I take it to heart. Being in rock bands and listening to rock my whole life, the concept of not needing a drummer is foreign to me and a real eye opener.
I have been playing with the same drummer for over 25 years and we are synced up so tight we roll through changes and improv without conscious thought. The sum is better than the parts. So for all you drummers out there, I mean no disrespect, was just responding about an idea that had never entered my mind.

That tune has a "walking bass". which I suppose is fine for a country oriented sound. Hard to beat a "dog-house" bass for Hawaiian music... |
