This guitar was picked up in Pueblo CO last week. I was looking to go see Red Kilby, the day he passed on... but I couldn't find his number. This guitar has affectionately been named..."Old Red" in his memory..
She's not finished...She still needs tweaking, and Im taking my time..The E9 is almost finished, C6 this coming weekend. Y'all take a look and see what ya think...She was the brochure guitar for Mullen in 1984, and was bought by a fellow member. From there it went to the gentleman I bought it from last week...SHE SOUNDS FABULOUS...AND I MEAN>>>F A B U L O U S!!! ...I think this thing might be the "holy grail" of classic Mullen guitars...I have not decided on a price yet...GL 10-1 pickups installed at the factory, sperzel tuners...Changer cleaned, etc...etc...

Now some BEFORE PICTURES!!!

Had a blue on like this but not near as beautiful as this one. Didn't like the pedals but she played and had super tone
Some is going to get one heck of a guitar.
Sure was sorry to hear of Reds passing.

Mickey, I would have to agree with the holy grail of classic Mullen.
Hope I can make it over and see it in person before somebody grabs it.

This guitar has been torn down a second time, due to 1 faulty bushing...YEP "1"..LOL
Its now back together, but I will be sending the pedal rack, pedals, and all the other renewable aluminum back to Mullen for re-polishing. This guitar just plays like a DREAM now...and will look like a million bucks when shes finished...more pics coming this weekend..!

Mickey......I'm droooooling big time...what a beautiful guitar. If it plays as good or better than it looks, and I'm sure it does with the type of work and time you put into getting 'em in tip-top shape....somebody, even if it's you will have a guitar that will last forever. I am still drooooooling ! ! ! ! !

There will be two long lines in the DFW metromess. 1 line heading to the ballpark in Arlington to see the Rangers in the series. And then the longer line into Grand Prairie when Mickey announces that he is finished with this guitar. LOL!
