Went to see Paul w Vince last night. Of course, PF was awesome, but the entire band was great also. When Vince introduced PF, someone shouted out of the audience that he (Vince) should give him a raise. Vince said "I would but since I can't verify proof of citizenship..." ( a ref to AZ's controversial immigration law). The crowd laughed and it was all good fun...with a point Smile After all, Vince did not boycott AZ and that made a lot of folks like me very happy!

Paul said this tour with this band was done for the year but when they start-up again, be sure to catch them live...it's worth it for sure.

Here's a good place for another Vince story...

Our daughter was recently married, and while I was not the musical director of the event, she did take my advice on the Anniversary Dance, and they played "Look at Us". (The anniversary dance is where all married couples begin and are dismissed as the years married are counted upward...newly weds drop out first). My original statement to my daughter was, "...and when John Hughey hits that steel break mom better be dancing with me.".

We've been married for over 33 years, so I figured we be allowed to stay on the dance floor through the turnaround. Well, think again. I don't think the DJ had another gig that night, but he sure rushed through that piece of the work as if he did. My neighbors were the winners, at 45 years, but I don't think even they lasted for the turn around. Hint to DJ's everywhere: You can't start and end this fun dance with 10-year increments. Confused

Still, it was great to hear Hughey play before the head banging resumed.
