This is a clone, new body, tiger maple Rewound E-9
P/U by Jerry Wallace, new pedal bar, R&B pulling system
stainless pull rods, new fretboard, new pad, new legs,
new knee levers.
I built this about a year ago for a customer who had most of the original parts of a cannibalized D_10.
Plays smooth ans sounds good.
1495.00 plus shipping.

Sure looks pretty Jim!
I'm very interested in a reworked Sho-Bud.
Does it hold tune well? Is the body some kind of particle wood with a veneer? I notice, what looks like, a lot of bondo spots underneath. What's up with that? I don't mean to sound rude. I'm a pedal-virgin trying to learn about these things!
Copedent?
Thanks! Rick

Please excuse my ignorance, I was referring to the filled screw holes (wood putty?)
I was also not aware of the splatter-coat paint on the underside of many vintage Sho-Buds, hence the particle-wood comment.
I'm a newbie to the pedal world!
Jim seems to be an expert on these guitars and well respected!

Jim,

I am a bit confused by the term clone.. I guess the question is: Is there any reason to believe that this won't play exactly like an original ShoBud? Particularly as regards 'cabinet drop' and its attendant pitch issues..

Sure looks pretty - nicely done!

I have owned and sold alot of Sho-Buds. This looks as close to factory as they come. The white splatter paint looks like the Professional and early Pro 1 and Pro 2. Jim does great work on all kinds of guitars.

BTW. Go to ebay and check the price of an Ldg in good condition. Clone or not this is a "Steel" at this price.
