Howdy Steel Players,

I just posted my second Actual Video on youtube, and thought I'd see what others felt about this one.

"Look at us" had the effects set too high for some, so I felt I'd do this Video (only my 2nd vid) using no effects at all. Only my Black 2005 D-10 Carter, using XR-16 pickups, on "Lost in the feeling"

As always, all comments are welcome regardless of whether they are good, bad or indifferent.

Comments help me to know if I'm going forward or backwards in my playing. So again, you won't hurt my feelings at all by being truthful in how you hear them as being.

Thanks, and hope you at least find some good portions.

Click here for "Lost in the feeling"

Based on John's Version of playing it.

Thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,, Don

Right in the pocket, Don. I listened to Look At Us, which you played very well also. The FX sounds good in its own right, but when comparing the two vids, they do tend to mask the excellent tone from that Carter. You might try cutting back the FX level and see if you can't get the best of both worlds. That Carter really does have wonderful tone. Nice and clear up there in Hugheyland.

Great job; make some more!

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for the replay, and glad you liked them.

I agree on the FX adding depth, but a bit over done. I'm currently experimenting to see what works and what doesn't. So I went to using overly done, to using none. So now it will be just a bit of each and we'll see how that goes on the next one.

Thanks again, it's really appreciated.

Your friend,
Don

Hi Ken,

Thanks a whole lot for the replay. Glad you liked it.

Look up at the top section of the forum, and you'll see the "Links" Block. Click on that and look up venders, and go to "John Hughey Music" they have a track for that tune.

Thanks again,
Don
