Hello to all my Fellow Steelers,
Well.....I've gone and done it after 44 years in the business, I finally cut my own CD.
First and Foremost my heart is in Steel Guitar, but I am also a Vocalist, bass player and song writer. After all this time in the business I decided to go out on a limb and cut my own CD. This is not an instrumental album, but rather a vocal CD with ten of my own Compositions on it. I was lucky enough years ago to have a couple of my songs recorded on a major label, one by Red Simpson on Capitol called "If the world ran out of Diesel" and the other by Jerry Naylor on Capitol Tower called "High On Happiness"
Anyway, I've done something in life I always wanted to do and had a ball doing it.
Even though this is not an instrumental CD, there's plenty of Fiddle and Steel Guitar on the album and even Trumpets on one song. I've got my Web Site up and running, even though it's not finished, it works so far and I would like to invite anyone that's interested to go in and have a look and maybe listen to a small part of a couple of mp3's on there. Like I said before, the first thing on my mind is steel guitar, but the second is writing songs and singing.
So here's hoping you guys like the site and if you like, please send me an e-mail and let me know what you think. The web site address is www.genebrowncountry.com
Thanks and hope you like it.

Hi Charles,
Thanks very much for the compliment. Yes I did all the steel, dobro and bass on nine of the ten numbers. Thanks again for your feedback.

Hey Thanks guys, this whole album is nothing but Country Music, there's actually a lot more down home country on the CD than what you hear in the Demo section, a friend of mine who did the web site for me put those cuts on and I would have preferred a couple of different ones of the CD myself, I wanted to keep this CD as country as I could get, I'm not a new wave person myself and one of my songs on the CD tells exactly how I feel, it's called "Funky Rock And Roll", but there ain't nothin Funky about it.
Thanks Again for nice Compliments!
Gene

My kind of Country. It sounds like something Hank Karr would like.
Say hello to him for me!
