I'll be in Nashville from October 4th. Have a few things lined up (like Time Jumpers and the Amaricana Award show), but suggestions on where to hear great bands live welcommed.

Robert's Western World, its right next to Legends. Every time I've been by there the band always has a steel player. Last time there I saw Carco Clave playing his 10 string homemade lap steel. The Bluegrass Inn, which is right there on Broadway, also usually has pretty good bands. No such luck with Tootsie's, its always been some rock band that calls there self country! Rolling Eyes

Oh yeah, go upstairs at Roberts, a lot of cool ShoBud memorabilia. There's a few things on this forum about this. Roberts Western World used to be the ShoBud factory upstairs, the 1st floor was the showroom. That's were I got the pic for my avatar on a recent trip. Very Happy

Tore,
I'll be playing Steel with my band thursday night 10/6 in Russellville, Kentucky (about 50 miles north of Nashville) at the Sportsmans Club Senior Dance starting at 7:30pm.
Then both friday and saturday night I'll be in Lafayette, Tennessee (about the same distance from Nashville) at the Country Junction Restaurant with the Broken Road Band starting at 7:30pm both nights. Come out for some good country music and great southern style home cooking.

Nick

Well, Saturday I'll be at Puckett's Grocery in Lieper's Fork with Carl Wayne. He's a hoot, great band... Mike Chapman, Chris Leuzinger, Mike Loudermilk, Mark Evitts, Chris Brown... it'll be a great time. First show is either at 7 or 8, not sure. C'mon out!
