Dumb me but how do they get the click drum or whatever it is backing a song...I like it and would like to have one.

Click tracks are part of a recorder or software program aka :Pro-Tools etc... What you can do if you don't have that feature is to run a simple drum beat on one track of your recorder, let it run for longer than the song.

When included with a recorder of software, it is a separate and independent feature and does not use a recording track..it's ON if you want it and OFF if you don't.
