Steven, not to speak for Ken, but I have a 15"Deltalight II in my Nashville 400 and the Fox Intense Mod installed by Ken..I love this amp! The 8 ohm speaker will cut the power down to about 130 Watts(I think that's what Ken said)but it still is plenty of power! JS

Why not install one of the new Eminence EPS 15C neodymium speakers? They are designed to be a direct replacement for the Peavey 1501-4. Or the 4 Ohm SICA that Ken Fox sells.

The 8 ohm will work but it will cut the maximum output power to approx 130 (plus or minus) watts. If you can post the voltage listed on the rear of the amp (I think Peavey has that on the 400) I can give you the exact amount that it will be reduced.

Yes to all of the above! What hurts a transistor power amp is an impedance below it's rated output. Just the opposite in a tube amp.

I did as Jack said, I like the sound and my NV400 now weighs only about 2 lbs heavier then my NV112 does. I've started carrying my NV400 again.
