I am looking for two of these old radio dial escutcheon plates from a late 30's Oahu (Kay) Tonemaster. It would be interesting to find out what radio manufacturer Kay got these from and why they felt compelled to use them. I think Zenith radios were also made in Chicago. I am betting the tone sounds best when tuned to WLS 890am!

Here's hoping,
Steve

Hi, just wondered if you found the Oahu knobs you were looking for. I'm looking for one myself just like it. So far, I found a set on Worthpoint.com that were already sold. Best of Luck, Nancy

Hi Nancy,
I have the knobs, it is the plates I am missing. Unfortunately I have had no luck finding these escutcheon plates. A few of the antique radio restoration places have plates, but not the right ones. I am still hoping I will come across some.
I will let you know if anything turns up. I have seen the old radio dial plates used on several early steels from different manufacturers. I have to bet they got them from a radio manufacturer, and probably the knobs, too.
