The description says it fits Baby Taylor guitars and it looks the same as the case that comes with those guitars. If so, it's a great bag at a great price. I think Taylor gets $100 just for the bag. I know from experience that it protects the guitar extremely well so it should do great on a lap steel.

I used one of these for a long while to carry an Oahu Tonemaster, and there was a bit of room to spare. The bags are heavily padded and protect the instruments well.
