Hi Jack: Just a little note. I came home from Hospital Wednesday evening 7PM. I am feeling fine and everything is going well. A few restrictions. I am not allowed to drive for about 30 days. Have some walking to do, but I find that some of our guys of Fl. Steel Guitar Ass. has gone thru this Open heart surgery and most do well. Monday there were 5 steel picker and 3 wives visited me in hospital for about 3 hours which made my day. Tell all the guys I thank them for their thoughts and prayers. I will miss the Jam September 14 but hope to be back in October. Thanks much. MAX |

This is our 9th Anniversary. I looked up the minutes from the first jam, 9/11/2001, and the Steeler's were Don Sulesky, Walt Dotzenrod, Lou Rochelle, John King and someone named Jack Stoner. |

Marshall Rowland brought one of his S-8 steels down and donated it to the club. Thank You, Marshall. He also played it, and played well, on the jam. He also brought his singer with him, JC Honeycutt who is an excellent country singer.
We will raffle off the guitar over the winter, starting in October and ending in March. We will draw for the winner at the club's March jam. Tickets with be $5 each and you need not be present to win.
I'll have pictures of the guitar later. It has a Sho Bud fret board and an original model Bill Lawrence 705 pickup and four legs. |
