Several weeks ago I contacted Jerry about the possibility of borrowing a steel to play an upcoming gig I had in Virginia Beach. The gig was a sort of 40 year reunion of Virginia musicians, music fans, club owners and others from greater Tidewater. We'd all stayed in touch over the years or connected thru Facebook and collectively call ourselves "The Tidewater Hippies". I'd been real ill all year but thru chance timing, good luck and some help from friends,I was able - in between doctors' appointments and hyperbaric oxygen treatments - to fly out and make the occasion. Anyhow,Jerry called around some local Virginia players and came up with a couple possibilities but none of the steels were anywhere close to my U-12 copedant.Long story short,Jerry ended up having me read him my copedant over the phone and proceeded to tear down and rebuild his spare BMI 12 string into something pretty close to what I play. By chance he also lived right down the road from the gig and I was able to make the whole thing happen real smoothly because of Jerry.Thanx again buddy.

Michael, that's great that Jerry would do that. BTW, how are you doing?

Mike, I was glad I could make your visit a little easier. It was great seeing you again and meeting your friend(s)... Woody Norden told me that in the old days you were one of the premier pickers in this area and I know you've made your mark in LA.....

Roger, are you going to be coming back to Virginia anytime in the future. I still have that old MusicMan amp you wanted but I've installed a pair of EV speakers so I guess I'm gonna keep it..........JH in Va.
