This is a great sounding master volume Twin Reverb with all the 'Twin-ness' you could ever want from an MV Twin.
The cabinet however, although structurally fine, is a mess and it'll be a project if you want to pretty it up. The tolex is missing except on the back and there are cigarette burns all over the wood. Some genius in the past also removed the grille cloth and it now has a metal mesh front instead. Kind of a heavy metal wannabe looking affair. (On the other hand, you don't have to worry getting the cabinet messed up while traveling or on the bandstand...)
It has two 12s that you'll want to try but will almost certainly want to swap out. They are clearly made for rock guitar and you'll probably want something much cleaner. I kind of like them, actually. Especially at lower volumes. They cut through a mix nicely and in a way I appreciate. Hardly tone monsters by the more typical steel guitar standards, however.
I'm looking to get $600 (+ shipping) for it and will consider trades though not for other combo amps. Local sales/swaps highly preferred but I'm open to all possibilities.
For the life of me, I can never seem to post photos on the forum but I'll be happy to email them to anyone interested. (Just be warned that true Fender lovers may weep at the sight of this thing. Remember, it's the sound that matters...)

Craig - No interest in six strings (Other than, perhaps, using the Twin as a partial trade against a really good dobro.)or other combo amps. Otherwise, I'm open to hearing about whatever you might have. |
