It's true. Thanks to my Forum buddy Henry Nagle I'll be seeing Pete only minutes from my house. He'll be with Garth Hudson and Burrito Deluxe at The Last Day Saloon in Railroad Square in Santa Rosa.
Thanks for the tip Henry.

Rick, I didn't see Bobby's name listed on the bill. Too bad 'cause he rips! Saw him with Bob Weir and Kenny Gradney at The Country Club in LA years ago. Skunk Baxter and Steve Cropper sat in on the last few tunes.
Hope to see you again Ray.

Pete cracks me up. I said hello, shook his hand and told him he was the reason I played steel. (Guilded Palace of Sin). He chuckled and said, "Uh-oh, I ruined another one."
Pete was great and Garth Hudson was amazing on the keys. Wow!
It was fun to see some of the living legends of the 1960's & 1970's music scene! That's the music I love.

Click here and go to show # 323 to see a free Woodsongs show of Burrito Deluxe. Right click the video link and you can download the show to your hard drive and fast forward through much of it to get to the parts you want to see. Show features Garth Hudson, Sneaky Pete and others.
My personal favorite show is # 287 featuring Chris Thile and Mike Marshall. Hottest mandolin playing in the world. Forget mandolin, these guys play music and the way they blend is amazing. I have played most of the shows and I don't think there is much steel on any of the others.
