Hey fellow steelers! Just heard back from Junior Knight. He is available the last Sunday of the month. So, we will meet on the 28th of August in Merkel. I am moving us to a room with good air conditioning. So, Mark it down, and put it in stone. I just posted the exact location 3 or 4 posts below. We will start around 1:30 pm and go till everyone is done. The church doesn't get out til 12:30, so don't be too early. More details to follow! Get ready for a good one!

Way to go Toliver. We'll be ready to help when you nail it down. I'll buy a new pair of insulated coveralls to wear.

Hello Ford,
Thanks for the bump. Mark your calendar for the last Sunday in August. It will be good. We will have a great lineup for the jam, and as I mentioned earlier.....Junior Knight will be there and he is ready to JAM. Also, there is still a possibility that Steve Palousek will make this weekend too. It's gonna be a great one, so everyone share the date and tell every one. See you there.

I heard from Wally Moyers, Charlie Shifflet, and Gerald Cockrell, all planning to be there. If you've read this, please try and help us get the word out. We like steel guitar fans too.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up and a change of venue. We will meet this time at the Gracepoint church building. It is on the corner of 5th & Trundy with an address of 412 Trundy. Come towards the west to Ash street and go south across the tracks, which is the farthest to the west railroad crossing in Merkel (there are 3) and it is also called FM 126 South. A landmark to notice when to turn south is when you see the Dollar General Store, turn across the tracks there which is Ash street. Come south down Ash street to 5th and take a right, go 2 blocks and it is on the corner. I'll have my cell phone with me if anyone gets lost. I'll try and have some signs out as well. I'm getting emails also and messages about a lot of people coming. This sounds like a great way to beat the heat! My cell is 325.518.3947. See everyone there!

your post reminded me to call Dwain Burns in Anson. I'll try to get in touch with him, but if you see him.....please let him know. It's gonna be another good one.
See ya'll there. Remember, Junior Knight is playing too! What a great player and a good man.

Just talked to Shady Mitchell, and he should be there also. Also, I talked with Bobby Rains and James Foster & both are coming. Gary Ball of the Ball Ranch Singers is also going to try and make it. It's shaping up to be a really good one. If you have not seen the post above with the directions, please look a few comments above and I give directions to the new venue and address. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to call me on my cell phone. 325.518.3947. And, we will see ya'll there.

We did it again. Had a big ole time. This is absolutely some of the best guys you could ever want to meet. Lots of kidding and ribbing all in good fun. The backup musicians did great. I don't know if Rabbit ever got up from his drums. Thanks to Bobby Roundtrees for helping on the bass. I always enjoy seeing him and hearing him play. I think the guy can play anything that will make a noise. Thanks to Junior Knight for stopping by. I could tell he was tired and in need of getting back home, but he played great. Larry T., you done good again.
