Kevin, since you probably know Western New York well enough, did you ever get as far east as Churchville and a place called Dino's Restaurant on Rte. 33?
Back in the mid 70s, I was steel player for the house band (The Innkeepers), playing on Thursday (practice), Friday and Saturday nights. I've said many times since that it might have been the most fun I ever had doing music.
Also, it was at Ed Bentley's Music that I bought my first guitar, an MSA Semi-Classic.
Do either of these sound familiar to you? |

James, I'll bet neither place exists anymore. If they did I probably would have run agross them in the last five years here. Did you know Gene Hilts? |

I have to close this. It's not an "Event or Announcement".
Can't allow a two way conversation.
You both have your emails listed.
James,
A post in Steel Players titled "Western New York in the 70s" will probably get you more replies. |
