I recently completed a new CD for semi-retired Nashville songwriter Jimmy Peppers. I did the recording engineering, steel, bass, lead guitar and even rhythm guitar on one track of the album. The songs are all new originals written by Peppers. 8 of the songs were recorded at my studio, the other two, gospel songs, were previously recorded some time ago but never released.
For those that know Peppers humor, one of the songs on the CD is "If I Had The Money I Would Leave You".
Peppers wrote "Love Takes Good Care Of Me" that was Jack Greene's first top 10 hit (before Statue of a Fool), Forever Yours for Dottie West, Playing Possum for Jones and many more. He was also Jones' band manager in the "no show" days. Peppers was the drummer for Ferlin Husky in the 60's with Terry Bethel on steel and Jimmy Capps on Lead Guitar.
I got this from Peppers yesterday:
