My DeLuxe reissue will drop in level once in a while, almost to the point of losing signal then come back up again. I've changed output tubes and some other tubes, wondering now if it's another component to do with biasing the output tubes. Any suggestions (other than chucking it for an older DeLuxe ) |

Keith I had Twin Reverb Reissue as a loaner a while back and had the same issue.Turned out to be a cracked solder joint somewhere or another.
The PC board thing is an issue with those amps.
They really don't make em like they used too |

definitely not a bias problem
you should check every solder joint, every ribbon cable connection, and every socket connection for suspect or cracked solder joints.
That is, if you can get the chassis out of the cabinet
unfortunately new fender = pain. Not only do they sound kind of pinched, but they are near impossible to work on. They may look like their distant relatives, but they could not be more different. _________________ Milkmansound.com |

A guitar player friend of mine has the same issue with his DR. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Thanks, guys--I agree re the PC boards; I changed a tube, I have a tube tester, and I'll see how it goes. I won't check the solder joints, I'll get someone to do it. |
