I'm looking for a high powered (200+ watts) quality guitar head for clean jazz guitar and steel playing. Must have an 8 ohm output. My price limit is about $500. Anybody?

I should add that I'm really looking for one of the small jazz-style amps like Acoustic Image, Evans, etc. Thanks!

John, I have a couple of Acoustic Image heads I would sell. I also have a small Eden bass head that would work great with a reverb pedal. Let me know if you're interested in these and I can send you details, prices and pictures.

I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

My jazz guitar teacher uses a Acoustic Image Clarus with an old Gibson L-5CES. Beautiful clean sound. (I have and like the older Evans heads as well (AE200), although they are larger than the newer AH200's.)

And Darvin's a great guy to deal with.

Thanks Michael. As a matter of fact, I just sent Darvin a check.

Great. Did you end up with an Acoustic Image?

Yes, a Clarus 2r. I have a 15" cabinet, and I might try to find a 10" to go with it and use in smaller venues.
